Many people have have problems downloading from the "true" Android Market because of changes Google has made, and because of incompatible devices. App compatibility varies between devices - one market might work on one device, and not on another. Having a list like this is a huge help to test out similar apps but from different market sources. What I do like about Google official Android market is that I can browse the market using my pc or laptop and install it on the air to my mobile. John Patrick , I am aware of both of those deals, but I wanted to focus on established app stores not on ones that were a bit do-it-yourself. You are right though, most appstores are more of the same, but then, you have to think, why are malls so successful or clothing stores --- always more of the same, but people LIKE to shop regardless.
